Astilbe

Astilbe is a perennial herb in the Saxifrage family. There are about 18 species in the world, distributed in Asia and North America. 7 of them are native to China. The Astilbes’ panicles are cone-shaped, with clusters of tiny flowers in colors of white, lilac, or prune.They are wildly used in flower beds and borders, cutting flowers, containers , and rock gardens.

It will be better to plant astilbes under part shade to full shade enviroment, such as forest edges and walls. Besides, they have great cold resistance and strong growth. Astilbes thrive in organically rich, evenly moist and well-drained soils. The flowering period starts from June to September.
